29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1):The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: Worksite located at 424 S. 6th St., St. Joseph, Missouri- Employees were exposed to possible eye injuries while cutting the concrete sidewalk and using a hand grinder as well as a walk-behind machine to cut the edges. Employees were not wearing any means of eye protection.

29 CFR 1926.1153(c)(1): For each employee engaged in a task identified in Table 1, the employer did not fully and properly implement the engineering controls, work practices, and respiratory protection specified for the task in Table 1, unless the employer assesses and limits the exposure of the employee to respirable crystalline silica in accordance with paragraph (d) of this section. At a construction site located at 424 S. 6th St., St. Joseph, Missouri- Employees were exposed to respiratory hazards when dry-cutting concrete containing crystalline silica. Worker was observed doing masonry-type work on the sidewalk next to the frame for a new building. One employee was cutting concrete using a handheld saw and had not implemented the required engineering controls.
