Event description

Employee's finger amputated by a power saw

Investigation abstract

Employee #1 was cutting metal with a power saw. When the metal box saw started t o fall, he grabbed it with his left hand, amputating his left index finger to th e last knuckle. The saw was about one year old and had the proper guards.
