EMPLOYEE TRIPPED OVER CABLE; SUFFERED FATAL INJURY
Investigation abstract
EMPLOYEE #1 WAS TALKING ON THE PHONE AT HER DESK. UPON COMPLETION OF THE TELEPHO NE CONVERSATION SHE STOOD UP AND STARTED TO WALK TO A WORK BENCH, LOCATED 10 FEE T AWAY. THE TELEPHONE CABLE WAS ROUTED FROM A WALL TO THE DESK. EMPLOYEE #1 CAUG HT HER FOOT ON THE PHONE CABLE AND FELL TO THE FLOOR. SHE SUFFERED A FRACTURED H IP AND LATER DIED. THE FLOOR WAS OF CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION, COVERED BY A CARPET.
