EMPLOYEE SEVERS HAND WHILE CUTTING END OF FENCE BOARDS
Investigation abstract
At approximately 9:30 a.m. on February 22, 1985, Employee #1 was cutting the poi nts on the end of fence boards. He used a picket pointer, which consisted of fou r knives. Each knife was six inches long. As the knife cutting head swung outwar d, a knot or something became stuck causing the post to jump. This caused Employ ee #1 to slip his hand into the cutting knives. As a result, his right hand was severed.
