Ten employees exposed to chemical spill from punctured drum

Investigation abstract

A forklift driver was moving drums of toluene diisocyanate when he punctured one iver was exposed by handling the drum. All 10 employees were hospitalized. drum with his forklift blade. He removed the drum from the pallet and placed it where no more of the chemical would spill. He then took the pallet onto which t oluene diisocyanate had spilled to the ship, where it was placed in the ship's h old so that other drums could be removed from the pallet.
