Employee injured when struck by falling roof trusses
Investigation abstract
On January 11, 1989, Employee #1 was underneath wooden roof trusses preparing ti me cards when the trusses collapsed, striking him. He was hospitalized. There we re about 52 trusses installed. Employees had previously started dismantling the roof trusses, which were not braced in accordance with BWT-76 of the Truss Plate Institute.
