CONSTRUCTION WORKER KILLED IN FALL FROM BEAM
Investigation abstract
EMPLOYEE #1 AND ANOTHER EMPLOYEE WERE TAKING MEASUREMENTS WHILE STANDING ON A BE AM THAT WAS ABOUT 16 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND. EMPLOYEE #1 FELL AND LANDED ON A PIE CE OF PROTRUDING REBAR, SUFFERING FATAL INJURIES. NEITHER EMPLOYEE WAS WEARING A SAFETY BELT.
