ELECTRIC SHOCK - DIRECT CONTACT WITH FUSE HOLDER

Investigation abstract

A LINEMAN HAD CLIMBED A 40-FOOT UTILITY POLE TO ATTACH A HOT-LINE CLAMP TO A TER MINAL BAR. HE WAS USING AN 8-FOOT HOT STICK TO PERFORM THIS TASK. HE WAS ELECTRO CUTED WHEN HIS UNPROTECTED LEFT HAND CONTACTED A 7200-VOLT FUSE HOLDER.
