ELECTRIC SHOCK - DIRECT CONTACT WITH ENERGIZED PARTS

Investigation abstract

TWO MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEES WERE INSTALLING A LIGHTING FIXTURE ON TOP OF AN OVEN. AFTER THE FIXTURE WAS IN PLACE, ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES TOLD THE OTHER TO WAIT UNTI L THE CIRCUIT WAS DEENERGIZED AND STARTED TO LEAVE. THE OTHER EMPLOYEE CONTACTED ONE OF THE ENERGIZED CONDUCTORS OF THE LIGHTING CIRCUIT AND WAS ELECTROCUTED.
