CONSTRUCTION EMPLOYEES CAUGHT IN TRENCH CAVE-IN
Investigation abstract
EMPLOYEES #1 AND #2 WERE LAYING PIPE IN A 6 TO 7 FOOT LONG TRENCH WITH NO SHORIN G SYSTEM OR OTHER PROTECTION FROM MOVING DIRT. THE SOIL BANK SIDE COLLAPSED, COV ERING BOTH MEN. THE BANK WAS 5 FEET HIGH WITHOUT PROTECTION AND SITTING ON PREVI OUSLY DISTURBED SOIL. ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES COULD SEE A HOLE AND TALKED TO THE RE SCUERS.
