Event description

Employee collapses while unloading truck, later dies

Investigation abstract

At approximately 12:00 midnight on August 17, 1987, Employee #1 and a coworker w ere unloading a truck at the Pac & Sav store in Fresno, CA. Employee #1 collapse d during this operation and was later found by his coworker. Employee #1 was tak en by truck to St. Agnes Hospital for emergency treatment, where he was admitted and underwent surgery. Employee #1 died, apparently from left main coronary thr ombosis, cardiogenic shock, and myocardial infarction.
