FINGER AMPUTATED AND TWO OTHERS CUT BY TABLE SAW BLADE

Investigation abstract

EMPLOYEE #1 WAS RIPPING A CURVED PIECE OF WOOD FOR A "CIRCLE TOP" WINDOW. HE MOV ED THE SAW GUARD OUT OF THE WAY SO HE COULD COMPLETE THE CUT. AS HE WAS CUTTING THE PIECE, HIS LEFT HAND SLIPPED AND CAME INTO CONTACT WITH THE SAW BLADE. THE L ITTLE FINGER ON HIS LEFT HAND WAS AMPUTATED. THE RING AND MIDDLE FINGERS WERE CU T.
