EMPLOYEE DIED FROM HIV COMPLICATIONS

Investigation abstract

On May 6, 1989, Employee #1 died from complications associated with acquired imm une deficiency syndrome. Employee #1 had been employed at a pathology laboratory as a custodian. Employee #1's last day of employment was May 23, 1986. Employee #1's death was not caused by occupational exposure. Employee #1 had a clear his tory of other high-risk factors.
