Event description
Employee killed when struck by moving train
Investigation abstract
Employee #1 was picking up tools and equipment from the work site in preparation for completion of the day's work. The work that day was on track 4, which was n ot active. Tracks 1, 2, and 3 were active. Employee #1, for some reason, stepped from under the platform that separates tracks 3 and 4 and into the path of a so uthbound passenger train on track 3, which was outside the work zone. Employee # 1 was struck and killed.
