Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
An employee had worked as an Occupational Therapy Assistant at a skilled nursing facility. The employee was not assigned to work in the COVID-19 unit. The employee tested positive for COVID-19 on September 22, 2020. On September 24, 2020, prior to receiving the positive test results, the employee reported feeling ill at work and went home. On September 27, 2020, the employee was hospitalized until she died on October 12, 2020. The date, time and other details leading up to exposure are not indicated in the narrative.
