Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
An employee was working as a seasonal tender truck driver retrieving daily work related to SARS-CoV-2 and underlying preexisting medical conditions. orders from a coworker at an agronomy office. The coworker developed coughing, shortness of breath, sneezing and/or brain fog, but continued working despite showing symptoms of possible SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) infection. Several employees were tested and the coworker, one other coworker and the employee tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. The employee was hospitalized and on approximately May 15, 2021, was released from the hospital with the stipulation that he continue to use an oxygen tank while recovering at home. At 10:37 a.m. on May 24, 2021, the employee was readmitted to the hospital, where he died from complications
