Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
An employee was working as a health aide at a residential facility for people On June 2, 2021, the employee tested positive for COVID-19. Starting around June 3, 2021, the employee began experiencing symptoms of an infection with COVID-19, such as coughing. On Sunday, June 6, 2021, the employee was initially seen at the emergency room. He was then hospitalized for a severe case of COVID-19, and he was eventually admitted to an intensive care unit (ICU). He was hospitalized. On Wednesday, August 4, 2021, the employee died after a prolonged hospitalization, due to the complications of COVID-19. His symptoms included shortness of breath, diarrhea, nausea, tiredness, and pneumonia. As was stated earlier, a coworker at the same residential home also contracted COVID-19. The coworker likely contracted COVID-19 outside of work on or about Monday, May 24, with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He took care of clients inside 2021. The coworker was last at the workplace around Thursday, May 27, 2021. He tested positive on Monday, June 4. and outside of the client residential home. In early June, he began to exhibit symptoms of COVID-19, and he tested positive for an infection. About a week prior to that, a coworker at the workplace and one client there had tested positive for COVID-19. On Monday, May 31, 2021, the employee had driven a client to the hospital and accompanied him during the trip. The client was admitted to the emergency room that same day. During that week, the employee worked on Monday, May 31; Tuesday, June 1; Wednesday, June 2; and Thursday, June 3, 2021.
