Employee amputates right middle fingertip on press brake
Investigation abstract
At 6:00 a.m. on June 17, 2021, Employee #1 was working at a Cincinnati press brake. After placing a metal part into the press brake, the part shifted and the employee reached to straighten it. While leaning forward, the foot control was accidentally pressed, causing an amputation of the employee's right middle fingertip. The employee was treated without hospitalization.
