Employee lacerates kidney and spleen when pinned beneath veh
Investigation abstract
At 5:00 a.m. on June 30, 2021, Employee #1 was working beneath the passenger side of a work van at a jobsite, attempting to inspect the starter and manually start the vehicle. While doing so, the van suddenly started and lunged backward, pinning the employee between the tire and the ground. Employee #1 sustained lacerations to the kidney and spleen. The employee was hospitalized for treatment.
