Employee?s finger is amputated while removing part from conv
Investigation abstract
At 11:30 p.m. on July 22, 2021, Employee #1, employed as a quality inspector on the Harley Davidson Green Turn Line, was inspecting gears as they moved from the machine onto a conveyor belt. When a part became stuck at the end of the conveyor, he attempted to remove it. Another gear came down the conveyor and pushed against the stuck gear, causing his left hand to be caught between the parts. Employee #1 sustained an amputation of his left middle fingertip and bruising injuries to two other fingers. The employee was treated without hospitalization.
