Employee is caught in Drill Rivet Masher machine and sustain
Investigation abstract
At 5:30 p.m. on July 26, 2021, an employee was operating a Drill Rivet Masher machine and positioning it against a trailer side crossmember. The employee reached under the machine guard to feel for the crossmember and inadvertently pushed a button, causing the machine to cycle. The stability bar engaged and amputated the tip of the employee's index finger. The employee was treated without hospitalization.
