Event description

Employee sustains electrical shock while installing clamshel

Investigation abstract

At 6:00 p.m. on July 28, 2021, Employee #1 was installing the last actuator to open the clamshell roof of the Nacelle. While stepping across the gear box and turning his body 180 degrees, the employee's left hand contacted the exterior of a LED light fixture. Employee #1 received a 230-volt electrical shock, resulting in a dislocated and fractured left shoulder. Emergency services transported the employee for treatment. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
