Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
An employee was working as a motor vehicle representative in a branch office of a state department of motor vehicles where she reviewed documentation for the issuance of vehicle registrations and applications for driver's licenses. The employee worked until June 30, 2021, when she went on medical leave for non-work-related elective surgery. On July 25, 2021, the employee was transported to the hospital due to COVID-19 complications. At 7:00 a.m. on July 31, 2021, the employee died due to complications related to her COVID-19 infection.
