Investigation abstract

At 9:30 a.m. on July 19, 2021, Employee #1 was punching a term bar on a press when he bypassed the point of operation guard to adjust the material. His foot remained on the pedal, and when he leaned forward, the press was actuated. Employee #1 sustained injuries to his right pinky, ring, and middle fingers, including the amputation of his right ring finger below the distal interphalangeal joint. The employee was treated without hospitalization.
