Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
At 3:00 a.m. on August 9, 2021, an employee who worked for an industrial supply company managing employees died from complications due to COVID-19. On July 26, 2021, the employee reported to his employer that he was experiencing symptoms after close contact with a coworker who had tested positive for COVID-19 on July 23, 2021. The employee was hospitalized prior to his death. The employer did not have an effective COVID-19 Prevention Program in place.
