Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
An employee was working as a construction laborer for a construction contractor. coworker on July 19 completed their work on July 21. The foreman instructed them to get tested, as they may have been exposed on the 19th. In addition, the three workers who shared a car with the coworker on the 19th all tested positive. On July 21, 2021, though asymptomatic, the employee tested positive for COVID-19. That might have been his last day at work. On or about August 4, he began to experience the onset of symptoms. Three days later, at approximately 8:00 p.m. on August 7, 2021, he was taken to a hospital via emergency transport for COVID-related symptoms. He died there due to complications of COVID-19 two hours later, at 10:25 p.m. The employer learned only later that the employee had been taken by paramedics to the hospital by way of a text from the employee's He was working at a commercial site where employees were pouring the concrete brother. The employee had received his first shot of vaccine for COVID-19 but, not liking the side effects, not the second. The coworker was thought to be the source for the outbreak that infected four of his coworkers, but there was no specific time or date associated with the onset.
