Employee amputates finger while replacing roll on APRAC mach

Investigation abstract

At 9:00 a.m. on August 4, 2021, an employee was replacing a roll on the APRAC machine line. During this process, a box entered the machine, triggering the carrier, which engaged the employee's hand between the roll of material and the frame of the machine. As a result, the employee's left pinky finger was amputated at the first knuckle. The employee was hospitalized for treatment.
