Investigation abstract

At 11:58 p.m. on July 23, 2021, an employee was using a pneumatic torque tool to insert threaded parts into a water heater shell. The employee's hand was caught in one of the sockets when the tool was activated. The employee sustained partial amputations of the middle, ring, and small fingers. The employee was hospitalized for treatment.
