Investigation abstract

At 9:15 a.m. on August 13, 2021, an employee was using a DeWalt miter saw to cut plastic tubes into two-inch sections. The plastic tubes were caught and pulled in by the blade, resulting in the employee's hand being pulled into the saw. Consequently, the employee sustained an amputation injury to his left thumb and lacerations to several fingers. The employee was hospitalized for treatment of the injuries.
