Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
An employee was working for an agency that provided services for the elderly and persons with disabilities. She worked with residents who had special needs. She was a direct support caregiver. On August 2, 2021, her blood was drawn for a COVID-19 test. Her last day worked was August 4. On August 5, her test came back positive, and she was directed to an emergency room. On that or a later day, she was admitted to the hospital. She died in the hospital at 8:20 a.m. on August 15, 2021.
