Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
An employee had been working as a Teacher at a trade school. The employee last died as the result of a contracting COVID-19. The date, time and other details leading up to exposure are not indicated in the narrative. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative, but the disease was considered to be from a non-work related exposure to SARS-CoV-2. worked on Thursday, June 10, 2021, and was not scheduled to work again until Monday, June 14, 2021. On June 14, 2021, the employee was prescreened upon entering the building and was cleared of any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. The employee walked from the facilities Administrative Building to a classroom located in Building B. Within approximately 19 minutes of the employee's initial arrival to the facility, the employee was observed by a coworker (Supervisor) to be coughing.
