Event description
Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
At approximately 8:30 a.m. on August 22, 2021, an employee who was a correctional officer was hospitalized with COVID. The employee's last day of work was August 18, 2021, which was also when symptoms started and was tested after work. The result came back positive the following day on August 19, 2021, and the employee went home. The employee died on September 7, 2021 from complications from the virus.
