Employee with COVID-19 infection is hospitalized
Investigation abstract
An employee worked for a skilled nursing facility Assessment Office. The and other COVID-19 related complications. On August 26, 2021, the employee was discharged from the hospital. On September 8, 2021, the employee returned to work. The employer did not have an effective COVID-19 prevention and tracking policies in place. employee worked at her desk without wearing a face mask during her transmission period and potentially exposed coworkers to COVID-19. On August 18, 2021, the employee called in sick from work due to her experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. The employee was not aware of anyone she had been exposed to that was COVID-19 positive either inside or outside of work. On August 17, 2021, none of her coworkers in the Assessment Office tested positive for COVID-19. On August 20, 2021, the employee tested positive for COVID-19. On August 24, 2021, the employee was admitted to the hospital to receive medical treatment for pneumonia
