Employee with COVID-19 infection is hospitalized

Investigation abstract

An employee worked washing cars at an automatic car wash. The car wash consisted and onset of symptoms was on August 10, 2021. The symptoms worsened until on August 16, 2021, and the employee received a positive COVID-19 test result. On that date, he was admitted to the hospital and was discharged on August 18, 2021. The employee had no known contacts with a known COVID-19 case prior to onset of symptoms. He lived with Coworker #1 and Coworker #2 who both received positive test results on August 24, 2021. No other coworkers were reported as testing positive for COVID-19 during this time. The employer did not have an effective COVID-19 Prevention Program in place. of an automated "drive through" car wash along with multiple outdoor stations for manual cleaning and vacuuming of vehicles. The employee worked as a carwash finisher who worked in the outdoor areas finishing and cleaning cars. Employees typically work in teams of 2 and the employee mainly worked with either Coworker #1 or Coworker #2. Since the were all related, the employee had close contact with both coworkers outside of work. The employee and both coworkers wore face coverings when working in close proximity of one another. On August 16, 2021, the employee was hospitalized due to COVID-19. The employee's last day of work
