Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
An employee was working as a registered nurse at a general medical or surgical hospital. On August 10, 2021, she tested positive for COVID-19. On August 14, 2021, she was hospitalized. On September 7, 2021, the employee's daughter notified the employer of the employee's death. This was not an OSHA-covered fatality.
