Event description
Employee with COVID-19 infection is hospitalized
Investigation abstract
An employee performed regular duties as an admitting financial counselor. On including but not limited to difficulty breathing. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative. August 4, 2021, the employee was in close contact with a COVID-19 positive coworker at a meeting. The employer performed contact tracing upon learning the coworker was COVID-19 positive and discovered that the coworker had been in close contact with the employee for more than 15 minutes when they sat at the same table during a meeting. At the time of the meeting, the coworker did not know she was COVID-19 positive. On August 14, 2021, the employee began exhibit symptoms and was diagnosed with COVID-19 on August 16, 2021. At 3:36 p.m. on August 22, 2021, the employee was hospitalized due to COVID-19 complications,
