Employee with COVID-19 infection is hospitalized
Investigation abstract
At 8:41 a.m. on July 26, 2021, an employee who worked as a Licensed Practice Nurse was hospitalized. The employee had been examining a patient in their home prior to her hospitalization. The employee wore a facial covering. The employer conducted pre-visit phone screening consultation prior to the employee's site visit. At that time, the patient did not report any COVID-19 related symptoms. The employee later contracted COVID-19, which was believed to be due to her interaction with the patient. Other than masking, no other information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 was included in the narrative.
