Employee with COVID-19 infection is hospitalized
Investigation abstract
An employee was working as a medical assistant in a family physicians clinic when she began experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. The employee's symptoms worsened and she was hospitalized due to shortness of breath on July 20, 2021. Contact tracing was conducted but it could not be determined where the employee contracted the virus. The employer had all COVID-19 personal protective equipment protocols in place at the time of the infection.
