Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
An employee performed law enforcement duties in a traffic courtroom. The administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative. employee's daily duties involved inmate care and control, including moving inmates around the facility. The employee last worked on July 23, 2021, was tested on July 26, 2021, and received a positive result on July 27, 2021. The employee was hospitalized at 4:00 p.m. on August 3, 2021 and on August 21, 2021, the employee died from COVID-19. There were no coworkers at the location that had developed COVID-19 around the same time and there were no known other positive contacts during work.
