Event description
Employee fractures hand while operating rewind machine
Investigation abstract
At 11:03 p.m. on August 14, 2021, an employee was working on the #2 Rewind machine. While pushing in on the contact roll with the machine running, the employee's glove became caught in the metal being wound onto the core, pulling his hand into the machine. This resulted in a fractured left hand. The employee was hospitalized for treatment.
