Employee with COVID-19 infection is hospitalized
Investigation abstract
At 3:00 p.m. on August 10, 2021, an employee who worked as a General Manager for a restaurant was hospitalized with COVID-19. The employee and 4 coworkers had tested positive within the same time frame. While in the hospital, the employee was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) and had to be placed into an induced coma. On August 7, 2021, the employee was discharged from the ICU. The employer did not have an effective COVID-19 Prevention Program in place.
