Event description

Two Employees with COVID-19 infection are hospitalized

Investigation abstract

Two employees both worked as Security Therapy Aides and performed direct patient and then released on an unspecified date. Employee #2 remains off work quarantined at home. The employer was notified of both hospitalizations on August 25, 2021. The ward was placed on lockdown from July 29, 2021 to September 20, 2021. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative. care at a psychiatric hospital. Employee #1 and Employee #2 were both exposed to two patients on the same ward that had tested positive for COVID-19. On August 17, 2021, Employee #1 began to exhibit signs of COVID-19 related illness at a checkpoint. On that same date, Employee #1 was tested and was positive for COVID-19. Employee #1 was sent home and on August 24, 2021, was hospitalized. As of September 22, 2021 Employee #1 was still hospitalized and was on a ventilator. On August 18, 2021, Employee #2 tested positive for COVID-19 and has been off work since that date. Employee #2 was hospitalized on August 24, 2021,
