Employee with COVID-19 infection is hospitalized

Investigation abstract

An employee was working as a licensed practical nurse at a freestanding they were showing symptoms. There was high community transmission of COVID-19 in the days leading up to the employee's becoming ill, with staff estimating that fifty percent or more of the patients in the facility were there due to COVID-19. The employee saw patients in negative pressure rooms and wore a N95 FFR, gloves, and gown and eye protection. ambulatory surgical and emergency center. This was an urgent care facility. The last day she worked was September 6, 2021. On or about September 7, 2021, she began exhibiting symptoms consistent with an infection by COVIID-19. She tested positive for COVID-19 on September 9, 2021, and she was hospitalized on September 16, 2021. The day before she began exhibiting symptoms, she worked a 12-hour shift in the urgent care facility, providing direct patient care. She interacted with patients suspected of being positive for COVID-19, and she would routinely perform testing on patients coming to the clinic for COVID-19 when
