Investigation abstract
An employee was working at a general medical or surgical hospital. He worked as a charge nurse or care navigator in the emergency department (ER). His last day worked was August 29, 2021. The next day, August 30, he tested positive for COVID-19. He was admitted to the hospital. He was transferred to a larger hospital, a medical center that served a wide area. He was on a ventilator.
