Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
An employee was working as a high school teacher for a city school system. She the illness at work. While at work, she was not exposed to anyone who was positive for COVID-19. worked part-time. She taught medical classes at a high school. She had worked at the school since 2015. She had approximately fifteen years with the school district. She used only one classroom. It was set up in a U-shape, in which students faced away from her. She taught five periods, with class sizes ranging from seven to twenty-four students. On August 18, 2021, she started to exhibit COVID-19-like symptoms. She never came back to work. On August 20, 2021, she tested positive for COVID-19. She was hospitalized on August 25, 2021, and she died on September 9, 2021. It could not be determined whether she had contracted
