Employee with COVID-19 infection is hospitalized
Investigation abstract
An employee worked as a per-diem Dietician for a hospice. The employee stated during the inspection that she believes she acquired COVID-19 at home. The inspection was closed as not occupational related. The employee only worked weekends and began to experience upper respiratory signs and symptoms of COVID-19 on Saturday, July 31, 2021. On August 1, 2021, she took a COVID-19 test and tested positive. The employee quarantined for 10 days prior to being hospitalized on July 31, 2021. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative.
