Employee amputates finger while cleaning area by auger
Investigation abstract
At approximately 10:00 a.m. on October 2, 2021, an employee was cleaning out a rendering area. The employee did not lock out the auger and tried to clean the area by the auger. The auger caught the bar and spun it to where the employee's finger was pinned against the guard. The employee's finger was amputated. The employee was hospitalized to treat these injuries.
