Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
An employee was working as a production supervisor for a manufacturer of for COVID-19. On September 15, the employee was hospitalized. After 27 days of hospitalization, the employee died of his illness, at 1:30 p.m. on October 9, 2021. He was one of 12 workers at the facility to test positive for COVID-19 within a two-week period from September 3 through September 13, 2021. miscellaneous fabricated metal products. He was a machine shop supervisor. He was responsible for programming machines and supervising the machinists. He shared an office with two coworkers who tested positive for COVID-19. He had been on vacation the week prior to testing positive for COVID-19 himself. A coworker who had contact with the employee was the first among 12 employees to test positive for COVID-19. The coworker's test results were known on September 3, 2021. The employee went on vacation the following week. He notified his employer that he was feeling fine. On September 12, the employee tested positive
