Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
An employee was working for a firm that manufactured plastics products. He was a least four close contacts, prompting the employer to shut down the second shift. second shift lead operator. On September 30, 2021, he began to experience symptoms of COVID-19. He self-quarantined, and he did not go to work. On October 6, 2021, he notified his employer's human resources (HR) representative of his positive COVID-19 test. He was hospitalized on October 9, 2021, and he died at 11:00 a.m. on October 11, 2021. A coworker of his from the second shift tested positive on September 22, 2021. The employer recently shut down its second shift, because four workers from the second shift were tested on October 7 and confirmed positive for COVID-19 on October 11, 2021.
