Investigation abstract
An employee, a customs and border protection officer, last worked on August 26, 2021. The employee tested positive for COVID-19 on August 27, 2021 and was hospitalized due to the seriousness of his symptoms on September 4, 2021. The employee died due COVID-19 induced respiratory failure at 11:00 a.m. on October 7, 2021.
